This F5 mandolin was handmade by Takeshi Iwamoto, a seasoned luthier based in Tokyo, Japan. He’s been building mandolins and guitars by hand since the late 1970s under the name Acoustic World. His instruments have found their way to some great players over the years — including Sam Bush and Darrell Webb.

Adirondack spruce top
Flamed maple back and sides
Radiused fretboard, V-shaped neck
Carved scroll with classic flowerpot inlay
Original hardshell case included
It’s a beautiful, lightweight build with lovely wood selection and top-notch finish work. The tone is strong and clear, with a great chop and plenty of cut when you dig in.
