I won’t say much more here, since Adam already says it so well in that first video.
…but, i would like to say a few things…
As it happens, Adam was the first person I sent picks to when I started doing this 3 years ago. At that time, I was really only making picks for myself, just for fun. In fact, it was a summer project that I thought of for my son and me (who was 5 at the time). We lived out in the country, and we made picks out of all kinds of stuff… (we actually made casein itself that summer… found a recipe somewhere :)
Adam and I knew one another before. We live only a few cities away from one another… and I figured: maybe he might like an Ohio-made pick. So I made him a few, and he’d play on one ‘em a while, provide me with feedback, then I’d send him more. I’m still always trying new materials out, and Adam is still one of the few folks I send stuff to test.
I guess I thought if I can get Adam something that he likes, maybe others might like them as well.
His support from the get-go was irreplaceable, and over the last few years, we’ve become very good friends.
So, I just want to say thank you, Adam. Your early and continued support for me, and these picks. It means a lot!
