Not only is Adam a great guitar player, but he is also a highly skilled instructor. I won’t say much more here, since Adam already says it so well in that first video.
…but, I would like to share a few things…
When I started making picks three years ago, Adam was the first person I sent them to. At that time, I was just making picks for myself as a fun summer project with my son, who was five then. We lived out in the country and made picks out of all kinds of materials—even made casein that summer from a recipe we found!
Adam and I already knew each other, living only a few cities apart, so I thought he might like an Ohio-made pick. I made a few for him, and he’d play them, provide feedback, and I’d send him more. I’m still always experimenting with new materials, and Adam remains one of the few people I send picks to for testing.
I figured if I could create something Adam liked, maybe others would too. His early support was invaluable, and over the years, we’ve become great friends.
